Meet Gorgeous Gnomy!
When Gnomy first arrived with us, his world had been turned upside down after the sad passing of his previous owner. Understandably, he was shy, confused, and completely shut down. In those early days, he would offer a little hiss or grumble to keep the world at bay, but underneath that nervous exterior, we always knew a gentle soul was waiting to come out.
With patience and love, Gnomy’s true character has blossomed. Today, he is quick to greet you with an adorable, chirpy chat and warm leg-rubs. He absolutely adores attention and fuss, though his passion for good food is definitely a close second. Lately, Gnomy has also discovered the joy of playtime, and you can often spot him happily chasing after a rolling ball or pouncing on a toy mouse.
As a handsome semi long-haired boy, he needs regular coat care. When Gnomy arrived at the centre, he was severely matted and in need of some pampering. Staff have been working hard to help Gnomy get used to his grooming sessions, this will need to continue in his new home.
While Gnomy loves a cuddle, he can occasionally get a little conflicted when overstimulated and may give a quick nip to say he needs a break. Because of this, it is important to keep hands-on contact relatively short and let him reinitiate affection on his own terms, which he almost always does.
Gnomy is looking for a quiet, adult-only home where his new owners can respect his boundaries while his confidence continues to grow. He would also like to be the only pet in the household so he can have all the love and space to himself. If you have a peaceful home and a spot on the sofa for a sweet, chatty boy who just needs a second chance, Gnomy would love to meet you.
