About Me

Breed: Lurcher crossbreed
Colour: Grey
Age: 5 Years (approx)
Ref: ANI03651

HI there folks

I’m Jelly! Some of my friends call me Jelly-bean, Jelly-belly, scruff muffins, flash lighting.
I am sweet girl (like jelly pudding) and a sensitive soul as I have had a bit of a turbulent past before moving to Ashley Heath.
Under my scruffy exterior I have a big, warm heart and a secret silly side !

I am currently living it large with a staff foster carer on site where I can snooze on the couch in the evenings and days off.

During my time so far, I have proven to be quite a superstar student. Some would say I have a big brain!
I love learning tricks and playing quick-fire games. I also spend my days helping out in the office, making sure the reception team is working ħard and delivering me snacks or snoozing in the office.
I enjoy human company from people I trust, feel safe and bonded with. I do like to rest my chin in a lap. Due to my past, I lack some confidence around people I don’t know so well so I am hoping to find guardians who speak my language and want to learn all about me so I can feel totally secure.

If I do say so myself, I am a top-tier housemate! In my foster home, I am super clean and tidy. One of my absolute favourite things to do is roll around with my toys, relax and snooze the day away on the sofa, lurcher-style! I’d really like a home with more than one adult so I always have company to begin with as I can get worried when left home alone before I feel settled.

What are my favourite things? Let me tell you: TOYS! Toys are wonderful!! Soft, squeaky toys are the best. I love to carry them, play with them, rest with them. I enjoy a good game with my person and I am impressively fast, so get ready for some zoomies!

When it comes to other dogs, I am a bit of a lone ranger and I have zero desire to make doggy friends. I don't mind seeing them out and about but I don't like dogs invading my personal space, so I need my new humans to advocate for me and respect my boundaries. I walk beautifully on the lead, focus nicely on my person and am super responsive. Being a sighthound I do have an inbuilt 'go' switch so I am fully muzzle trained and perfectly comfortable in my snazzy teal 'party hat'. I am a great adventure buddy and love being on my long line so i can explore and sniff and be safe. My new home will need to have a private, secure garden for me to run around and play in. I also LOVE a proper sprint in a secure field where I can fully stretch my legs!

Who am I looking for? I am really hoping to find a safe, calm, predictable, adult-only home where I can get involved and feel part of the family. I need understanding and calm owners who will give me my own safe space to relax when I need it.

I currently weigh 21kg.
