It’s Zookie and Kai, your new best friends here!
Is your life wonderfully settled but lacking a bit of pizazz?
Are you looking for fun and to increase adventures and activity in your life? If you just answered yes, look no further! We are a hoot of a duo, you will never have a dull day with us. As we have had some rocky times in our life, we are looking for a home with some dog experience, ideally with a nice private garden for us to have zoomies in. We also need a little ongoing support in the art of learning to relax when there are things happening around us. We are a bonded pair so would love to be the only apples of your eye.
All the nice people here in the centre who walk us, feed us and clean up after us say that we are very tidy. If you are still reading on, you must want to know more about us!


Zookie and Kai came into the centre through no fault of their own, due to a change in their owners health and circumstances. We are looking for them to go as a pair into an adult only home as they have not had any experience of children in their lifetimes. Reported to travel well, be housetrained and can be left for short periods through the day.
On arrival, Kai had a lump on his leg which has been removed and was not found to be anything of any concern.
Zookie, is an exuberant whippet who can at times be quite excitable on lead. She is reported to enjoy sleeping with her owner under a duvet and will ask to get into bed.
Can be social with other dogs but the build up to meeting them can be quite exciting and frustrating which can make her vocal and excitable, jumping up and down. having training to help with this which my new family must be happy to continue. It does also mean that they will need to be homed with more than one person in the home so not one person is walking them together. Zookie's best mate Kai is a distinguished gentleman labradoodle, he is much calmer around other dogs and doesn’t get as overexcited as Zookie.
They are like any old married couple, Kai they love each other dearly, and can get worried when separated but we can also sometimes get a little bit annoyed with each other, especially when they are playing. Fortunately they can be distracted and will get on nicely again.
