About Me

Breed: Crossbreed/Unknown crossbreed
Colour: Brindle
Age: 1 Year (approx)
Ref: ANI03531

Meet Lovely Lola, our beautiful brindle scrumptious lump.

Lola came to us from another kennels so we don't know much about her past. She is a young, bouncy goofball who has come a long way during her stay with us. She has not found it easy being in kennels but is a lovely temperament with a lot of potential to grow.
â—¦ Lola is a sensitive girl and is growing in confidence every day.
â—¦ Lola has been doing well with her training at the centre but she needs a home willing to continue her ongoing training.
â—¦ Been doing really well with her lead walking skills but can be suddenly strong on lead: her new family needs to be physically able to handle her strength.
â—¦ Making good progress when seeing other dogs but can struggle to pass other dogs or see them without straining towards, barking and jumping.
â—¦ She does have some dogs she walks with at the centre.
â—¦ Can lack confidence around equipment and handling with new people but builds trust with the right approach.
â—¦ This is likely due to past experiences we don't know about.
â—¦ Lacks spatial awareness and can run into you when off lead.
â—¦ A little worried by certain 'normal' due to lack of experience such as traffic so needs help building confidence around new things.
â—¦ Lola is very affectionate, clever, willing and eager.
â—¦ She is very tactile and loves to roll around with you on the floor and have a cuddle.
â—¦ She is good indoors in the office and is able to settle and engage with chews / toys / snooze.
â—¦ She appears to be toilet trained.
â—¦ She enjoys training and learning new things and playing.
â—¦ Lola will need to be on lead when out and about in public due to her skills, slight lack of confidence and impulsivity.
â—¦ She will rush up to another dog if the opportunity presents itself.
â—¦ Has a chase drive for wildlife so will need to remain an on lead dog and new owners vigilant.
â—¦ Struggles with loud noises such as fireworks.
â—¦ Can be spooked by some strangers.

WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR IN A HOME:
Lola is looking for a home where she can relax, rest and keep building up her life skills.
She will be looking for an adult only home where she will be the only pet that has an enclosed garden where she can let off steam and sniff around safely.
Lola will need new human companions that have experience of large / strong dogs who are keen to continue her training journey she has started with us. Humans who are kind and patient to help her confidence grow with support from us at the centre. Lola is a wonderful girl who has a lot of love to give and wants to feel safe and secure in life with a loving and supportive family to live life's adventures with.
