May we present to you the wonderful Nellie. An affectionate and lovely natured girl who can be left for short periods, gets on well with other dogs and enjoys meeting new people. Nellie found herself in our care after concerns were raised about her welfare and how she was being kept. After a short stay here she was re homed but unfortunately the existing cats in the home have not adjusted to Nellie's arrival and after several months of trying, with the cats best interest at heart, Nellie is having to find a new home.
Nellie is good on and off lead unless distracted by small wildlife. Unfortunately she finds car travel upsetting so we would be looking for a home where she will not have to travel to be exercised. Nellie has enjoyed walks along a local beach and forest area. A calm and affectionate young lady who also has a cheeky side to her nature, knows some basic commands and settled into her home quite quickly. Although she has not harmed the cats she went home with, she does like to play with and chase them which they have not appreciated and been quite frightened of.
We would consider her to live with another dog after successful meets at the centre. We would also consider her to live with children 11 years+ Once settled into her new routine, Nellie may be able to be left for short periods through the day.
