TEMPORARY RESERVE
Meet Odie, a worried little soul with a lot of love to give.
This unique little man is a delight to be with and has captured the hearts of many staff members here at Ashley Heath.
Unfortunately Odie hasn’t had the greatest start in life. He was originally with us just over a year ago and found himself a loving home but unfortunately, he has found himself back in our care.
Odie will need to be given the time and patience to allow him to settle in at his own pace. The initial first few months will need to be kept quiet and predictable with a stable routine to allow him to settle and grow in confidence with you as his new family. You will be his strongest advocate to help him adjust back into a home environment and take time to expose him to the wider world.
Since coming back to us, he has coped really well and his confidence has improved greatly. Although a sensitive chap, Odie enjoys meeting new people if given time and space to say hello. He often gets excited to say hello to someone he recognises, giving them a full body and little bum wiggle!
Odie can be sociable with other dogs, often preferring to play with females over other males. He's already made a few friends here at the site, we may consider him living with a confident neutered female. Saying this, he would also happily be the only dog in the home to soak up all of the attention for himself.
Positives;
Walks lovely on lead
Is food motivated
Loves a cuddle
Sociable and enjoys going for walks with his friends
Things that need improving;
Building confidence in unknown areas
Learning basic commands
