Sher khan first arrived at the centre from a multi household of cats. It took some time before he settled into the cattery and began to interact with his surroundings.
Due to Sher Khan's background, he has been under socialised and missed out on key human interaction at an early age.

Sher Khan is a shy, playful boy looking for a home where he can have the time and patience from his new family to feel like it’s his home and learn to trust them.

Sher khan is currently in a foster home where he has shown that he is a very energetic and playful cat, he loves to chase his toys around the room, he can be seen using his enrichment feeder and gets a lot of enjoyment out of that. He loves to run and jump and has bundles of energy. He has many toys to choose from and this keeps himself occupied with lots of pouncing and interacting with them.

Sher khan is often on the windowsill watching the big outdoors, from birds flying to neighbouring cats exploring.

Sher khan will sit next to his fosterer on the sofa, resting or sleeping. He is currently a hands off cat and hasn’t yet shown he wants to be stroked or would want direct contact. But he does seek company at his own pace. Once he gets to know you he will give you some slow blinks to let you know he thinks you are ok. He will need his adopters to respect his need for choice and space. In time he will build his confidence around people.

His favourite treat is cooked chicken and will come and sit with you to eat it. He can be a chatty boy when he can hear his breakfast and dinner being prepared.

Sher Khan would need a room of his own initially so that he can acclimatise to his new home, with all his familiar scents. He will need areas to hide, rest and play.

Sher Khan will need an adult only home, and due to Sher Khan's shyness we are looking for a home without dogs.

Sher Khan may get used to living with another suitably matched cat. If Sher Khan did live with another cat, there would need to be a slow introduction process, and advice on introducing Sher Khan to his new cat friend will be given as part of the adoption process.
