About Me

Breed: American Bulldog crossbreed
Colour: Black
Age: 3 Years (approx)
Ref: ANI03435

Meet Tycoon. Our handsome, young bully cross.

Tycoon came to us in early 2025 as his families life was too hectic and they couldn’t cope with the added responsibility of a dog. He is a young, energetic, very athletic boy who hasn’t had the best start to his early life spending most of it in a shelter.
Tyccoon is a striking, clever, and high-energy boy with a nice nature who is looking for a dedicated partner-in-crime. He isn’t just looking for a backyard; he’s looking for a job to do and a handler who speaks his language.
Tycoon has been doing well with his training at the centre but he needs a home willing to continue the training he has started.
Improved lead walking skills but can be suddenly strong on lead. His new family needs to be physically able to handle his strength.
Making good progress when seeing other dogs but can struggle to pass other dogs or see them without straining towards, whining and jumping.
He does have some dogs he walks nicely with at the centre.
Is a social boy but can often feel conflicted about how to behave when meeting someone new. This inner conflict usually manifests as over-excitement, so he needs a calm environment and a patient handler who can guide him through these interactions
AREAS I AM GOOD IN:
Tycoon is a bit of a scholar; he is a "clever boy" who truly enjoys the training process. He is an affectionate boy when he is relaxed.
He is good indoors in the office and is able to settle and engage with chews / toys / snooze.
He appears to be toilet trained.
He enjoys training and learning new things and playing.
He loves an adventure and activity.
AREAS and SITUATIONS I STRUGGLE:
Tycoon will need to be on lead when out and about in public due to his skills, impulsivity and drive.
He will rush up to another dog if the opportunity presents itself.
Struggles with regulating himself and controlling impulses/
WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR IN A HOME:
Tycoon qualifies as a "pro-level" dog, because of his specific needs he requires an experienced home where his owners have a genuine interest in canine body language and behavioral cues. As a true activity dog, Tycoon thrives when both his mind and body are kept busy with consistent work.
He needs a quiet and predictable household where he can relax and decompress to be his best self and build his life skills; he requires a home with no children.

Tycoon will need to be the only pet to start with and a home that has an enclosed garden with high fences where he can let off steam and sniff around safely.

Tycoon is the kind of dog who will give you back exactly what you put in. If you invest the time in his training, you will have the most loyal, capable, and impressive companion by your side.
If you think you can offer the wonderful and spirited Tycoon the home he needs and deserves, please apply.
