Meet Benny Scampers & Prince Caspian - A Bonded Pair of Gentle Souls
This handsome duo are Benny Scampers and Prince Caspian - and what beautiful boys they are, both inside and out.
Benny is a British Shorthair with the most wonderfully relaxed nature. During his stay with us, he required a dental procedure, which he has now fully recovered from. True to his easy going personality, he took it all in his stride. Benny is as cool as a cucumber - affectionate, sociable, and utterly devoted to human interaction. He adores fuss and will happily melt into your arms for a cuddle. He really is the definition of adorable.
Prince Caspian, a stunning Selkirk Rex, also needed some medical care when he arrived, undergoing bilateral entropion surgery. He too has made a fantastic recovery. Due to his squishy face, he occasionally requires his eyes and nose to be bathed - just to keep him looking his absolute most handsome self. Caspian is calm, serene, and incredibly gentle. He’s a little less demanding than Benny and can be slightly shy at first, but he is equally as loving. He often looks to Benny for reassurance, and their bond is truly heartwarming to see.
These boys share a very special bromance. They’ll both trot over for attention, and before you know it, they’ll be attempting to squeeze onto your lap together! They enjoy being groomed and pampered, love their toys, and despite being super cool dudes, they still have lovely playful moments together.
Because of their close bond, we are hoping to find them a forever home together where their friendship can continue to flourish.
They have been identified as being at a slightly higher risk of developing a condition called feline infectious peritonitis (FIP), caused by the virus feline coronavirus (FCoV) (please note that feline coronavirus is NOT the same as the human coronavirus causing COVID-19 and it CANNOT be transmitted to humans). Many cats carry this virus but most owners wouldn’t know as it’s not something that is routinely tested for. We can provide more information about this virus prior to adoption. Both cats are fit and well at present and are not displaying any symptoms of FIP at present (it’s important to note that they may never develop symptoms but this can’t be ruled out completely). We strongly urge you to research this condition and contact your vets to get rough ideas of costing if treatment is required.
One of the known contributing factors to developing FIP is stress, so we are looking for them to be rehomed to a quiet home without any additional stress factors.
If you’re looking for double the love, double the cuddles, and double the charm - Benny and Caspian are waiting to meet you.
