This stunning little lady is Elphaba. She was signed over to our care by her previous owner. Elphaba came in with several other rabbits.
Elphaba is a lionhead cross and as you can see is absolutely stunning. Elphaba is a nervous girl, sadly she doesn't seem to have had much positive handling. She is skittish and will move away when we approach her, but generally seems to be ok with us being in her presence. She is ok to handle for health checks, but she would prefer a hands off approach. She loves getting out of her pod for floor time and will happily explore the main rabbitry floor.
Elphaba has lived with several other rabbits previously and we think she would benefit from a boy bun-friend, so they can keep each other company and explore home and garden together once bonding has been established.
Elphaba definitely needs an experienced rabbit owner and would prefer a home with no young children.
Rabbits are active, inquisitive animals and need lots of space to perform all their natural behaviours such as running, jumping, digging, playing and exploring. It is recommended that a pair of medium-sized rabbits should be housed in an area measuring at least 3m x 2m x 1m (L x W x H) which incorporates an integral shelter measuring at least 1m x 2m x 0.75m (L x W x H) and a large space for them to exercise. Rabbits should have permanent access to all areas of their housing to allow them to perform the behaviours they want to, when they want to PLEASE NOTE - Our centre is appointment only. We receive a large number of applications for each animal, if you have not heard within 7 days of submitting your application form you have been unsuccessful on this occasion, please keep a check on the website as this is updated daily.
