Emmy-Lou is a beautiful young bunny with a gentle, inquisitive nature who is looking for a forever home with a confident male rabbit (a "husbun") to show her the ropes.

Still learning about the world around her, Emmy-Lou is a curious and surprisingly brave little rabbit. Within just a week in her foster home, she had already mastered hopping on and off the sofa – quite an impressive feat for such a young bunny! She loves exploring her surroundings and is always interested in discovering something new.

Although she's gaining confidence every day, Emmy-Lou is also an independent girl who prefers affection on her own terms. She isn't difficult to pick up and doesn't struggle to get away, but she doesn't enjoy being held for long. If she's had enough, she'll politely let you know with a little thump of her feet! Like many rabbits, she much prefers interacting with all four paws firmly on the ground.

Emmy-Lou would thrive in a calm, quiet home where she can continue to build her confidence at her own pace. Sudden loud noises or unexpected movements can startle her, but she's also wonderfully inquisitive and will often approach other animals to investigate with a gentle sniff. She enjoys having cosy hideaways where she can retreat if she needs some quiet time, but when she's feeling relaxed you'll often find her stretched out comfortably on her side, completely at ease.

She has excellent litter habits and, after settling into her foster home, has been impeccably clean, happily using her litter tray and keeping her living space tidy.

Like any young rabbit, Emmy-Lou has a cheeky side! She isn't generally destructive, but if she's feeling frustrated or annoyed she may decide to do a little digging or nibbling. Providing plenty of enrichment, toys and opportunities to dig naturally will help keep this clever girl entertained.

Rabbits are active, inquisitive animals and need lots of space to perform all their natural behaviours such as running, jumping, digging, playing and exploring. It is recommended that a pair of medium-sized rabbits should be housed in an area measuring at least 3m x 2m x 1m (L x W x H) which incorporates an integral shelter measuring at least 1m x 2m x 0.75m (L x W x H) and a large space for them to exercise. Rabbits should have permanent access to all areas of their housing to allow them to perform the behaviours they want to, when they want to.
PLEASE NOTE - Our centre is appointment only. We ideally like cattery/small animals to go home within one week of application (however, this may be evaluated on a case by case basis) - so please only apply if you are in a position to adopt within a reasonable time frame. Due to a high volume of applications and emails we are unable to discuss the animals any further until we have received your completed application form. We receive a large number of applications for each animal, if you have not heard within 7 days of submitting your application form you have been unsuccessful on this occasion, please keep a check on the website as this is updated daily.
