Ghost is a handsome indoor housecat searching for a loving, understanding forever home. Having always lived indoors, the outside world is unfamiliar to him, so we are looking for an indoor-only home where he can feel safe and secure.
Ghost's story is a particularly sad one. He was rescued from an abusive background, and as a result he can initially be wary of new people and a little head-shy. However, once he learns that he can trust you, Ghost reveals his true personality: one of the most affectionate, loving, and loyal companions you could wish to meet.
Because of his past experiences, Ghost would thrive with an experienced cat owner who understands that trust takes time to build. He would need to be the only pet in the home, allowing him to settle at his own pace and enjoy all the attention he deserves.
To help him regain confidence and learn that people can be kind, Ghost was placed into a wonderful foster home. His foster carer has fallen completely in love with him and says:
"Ghost is incredibly affectionate and loves company. He loves investigating every corner of the house and is wonderfully vocal when he's having fun or letting you know it's mealtime.
Although he appears confident, he can be nervous around loud noises or sudden movements, which is understandable given his history.
He absolutely loves to play. Feather toys are his favourite, and he'll happily play fetch with them for hours. He even grooms his toys after playing with them! He loves racing up and down the stairs, pouncing several steps at a time, and turning them into his own personal playground.
For a bigger cat, he's surprisingly athletic. He enjoys climbing cat trees, leaping onto high spots, and showing off his acrobatic skills, especially when the zoomies strike. He also loves bouncy balls, although once they stop moving, he's usually lost interest!
Ghost adores human company and shows his affection through headbutts, licks, and constant companionship. His favourite time of day is curling up beside you on a blanket after a game of fetch, kneading away contentedly while soaking up all the fuss.
If you're looking for a chatty cat, Ghost is your man. He's one of the most vocal cats I've ever met once he's comfortable with you. Working from home? You'll never feel alone again. Ghost will happily supervise your keyboard work, remind you to take cuddle breaks, and keep your lap warm."
He's also incredibly clever. Puzzle feeders are a huge hit with him, and because he's very food-motivated, he'll make sure you never forget when dinner time is approaching! When left alone for a while, you'll usually find him curled up on a soft blanket or your bed, before jogging to greet you excitedly at the door when you return home.
Despite the difficult start he had in life, Ghost remains trusting, affectionate, and eager to love. After a few days, some patience, and a handful of treats, he forms a strong bond and becomes the most devoted companion.
Whoever is lucky enough to welcome Ghost into their home will be rewarded with endless laughter, companionship, entertainment, and cuddles. He has overcome so much and now simply deserves a family of his own and the happy ending he's been waiting for.
**Could you be the person to give Ghost the forever home he truly deserves?**
