About Me

Breed: Domestic Longhair crossbreed
Colour: Black
Age: 5 Years (approx)
Ref: ANI03323

Meet Honey - This pretty lady came into our care as a stray, when she arrived she was heavily matted and covered in fleas. She was very shy and refused to eat while she was in our care, so we placed her into a loving foster home where she would feel safe and loved.

This is what the foster carer has to say about Honey:
Honey is a beautiful long-haired girl with a big personality and just the right amount of sass to keep you on your toes.

After her first night, Honey settled in quickly and made herself right at home. She’s very people-oriented and loves to be close to her human — she’ll even follow you into the bathroom just for a fuss! As soon as you walk into the bedroom, she rushes over to greet you and ask for attention.

Honey enjoys affection, but very much on her own terms. She likes to sit close and soak up the company, but she’ll let you know (quite clearly!) when she’s had enough. If her signals are ignored, her sassy side appears — a little nip or paw swipe to remind you she prefers fuss without too much handling. She’s a girl who values respect and clear boundaries.

Honey adores sitting on the bedroom window ledge watching the trees sway and the windchime move. I’m sure she would absolutely love access to going outside when she has settled into her new home.

Her favourite hiding spot is under the duvet — she’s a total professional at sneaking underneath without disturbing the bed! At night, she likes to sleep right beside you.

She tolerates short grooming sessions with a slicker brush or comb, but again, only briefly before that signature sass makes an appearance. Regular, gentle grooming will be important to keep her beautiful long coat in good condition.

Honey would do best as an only cat. Although my own two gentle cats have shown interest in befriending her, Honey has made it clear she prefers not to share her space and will hiss to set her boundaries.

Once Honey fully trusts her person, I’m certain she will form a very strong, loving bond. She would thrive in a calm home with someone who understands cat body language and appreciates a confident, independent girl who also wants to be close.

If you’re looking for a beautiful, characterful companion who will choose you as her person, Honey could be your perfect match. 💛
