About Me

Breed: Domestic Shorthair crossbreed
Colour: Tortoiseshell
Age: 4 Years (approx)
Ref: ANI04112

Jade came into our care as a stray after a kind member of the public found her wandering locally. Sadly, she wasn't wearing a collar or microchip, so we were unable to trace her owner. While in our care, Jade needed dental surgery and remained at the animal centre while she recovered.

Although Jade received lots of care and attention, she found cattery life quite overwhelming and would often decide whose company she was happy to keep. To help her feel more secure, we moved her into a loving foster home where she could enjoy a calm environment, familiar faces and a predictable routine. It has made a world of difference.

Jade has settled brilliantly into foster care. She is a confident girl with an excellent appetite and uses her litter tray perfectly. She enjoys being close to her foster family and likes to be in the same room wherever they are, often spending her nights sleeping in the bedroom nearby.

Jade is an affectionate cat—but very much on her own terms. Around mealtimes she'll happily rub around your legs and enjoy a gentle fuss, and every now and then she'll choose to curl up on your lap for some attention. At other times, she prefers her own space and may simply wander away if she's not in the mood for cuddles. She is looking for a family who will understand and respect her boundaries, allowing her to choose when she wants affection.

Food is definitely the way to Jade's heart! She absolutely adores Dreamies, ham and chicken, and the sound of the fridge door opening is enough to have her trotting over to investigate. She isn't shy about letting you know when she thinks it's treat time either!

Jade has also met the resident cat in her foster home and has been happy to share the same space without any issues. We believe she could live with another calm, respectful cat following slow introductions.

Because Jade forms bonds with people gradually, we'd like any potential adopters to visit her in her foster home a few times before taking her home. This will give Jade the opportunity to get to know her new family and help make the transition as stress-free as possible.

Jade is searching for a patient and understanding home where she can continue to thrive. Her ideal family will give her the time and space she needs to settle, allowing her confidence and affection to grow naturally. In return, you'll gain a wonderfully characterful companion who enjoys your company, loves her treats and will build a truly rewarding bond with those who take the time to earn her trust.
