Meet Jerry 🖤
This handsome black beauty arrived in our care in February as a stray, and he’s come such a long way since then. When Jerry first came to us, he was suffering from dental disease and a skin condition. Both have now been successfully treated, and he’s feeling happy, healthy, and ready to find his forever home.
Initially, Jerry was a very shy boy who preferred to hide away in a safe space. However, when given time and gentle reassurance, he would come out to enjoy fuss and cuddles, showing his sweet and affectionate nature. To help build his confidence, Jerry was placed into a foster home—and that’s where everything changed.
After just a few days in foster, Jerry really began to blossom. Although he was a little unsure at first in his new environment, he quickly settled in and made himself at home. He’s now claimed his favourite chair, where he happily spends much of his day relaxing and watching the world go by.
Jerry has grown into a confident and affectionate companion. He regularly seeks out attention and, within a few days, was already jumping up for lap time. He now enjoys at least one cosy nap on his fosterer’s lap each day—although he still likes to keep his independence and often chooses his chair as his favourite spot.
He’s also got a playful side! Jerry enjoys playing with toys and having little bursts of energy, often turning everyday items (like shoelaces!) into a game. He engages well daily but does like things on his own terms, making him a lovely mix of affectionate and independent.
Jerry would suit a calm and patient home where his new family will allow him to continue building confidence at his own pace. In return, he’ll reward you with affection, companionship, and the joy of watching him truly thrive.
If you’re looking for a cat with a gentle soul and a growing confidence, Jerry could be the perfect addition to your home 🖤
