About Me

Breed: Domestic Shorthair crossbreed
Colour: Black
Age: 6-12 Months
Ref: ANI04718

Nut is a gorgeous young cat with a huge personality and so much love to give. She came into our care after being rescued by one of our officers in a very poor condition. When she was signed over to us, Nut was suffering from a severe skin condition and was covered in fleas.

After months of treatment, patience, and care, Nut has made an incredible recovery. Her skin condition is now under control, though she will need to remain on a hypoallergenic diet alongside a low-dose steroid treatment to keep her comfortable and healthy long term.

During her recovery, Nut moved into a foster home where she has truly blossomed into the playful, affectionate little character she was always meant to be.

Her foster carers say:

“Within a few hours she was curious and confident enough to come up to us and get on our laps. She absolutely loves to be around humans and whenever we are home she wants to be in the room with us, climbing over us or lying on the bed with you.â€

Nut may have seemed timid at first, but it didn’t take long for her playful, energetic nature to shine through. She is still very kitten-like in her behaviour and absolutely adores chasing toys, especially anything dangly she can pounce on! Tunnels, pop-up cubes, and games of chase are some of her favourite things.
She is an incredibly affectionate girl who loves fuss and attention. Nut is happy being picked up and is a champion bedtime snuggler — often choosing to curl up between her foster carers at night.
As she has settled in, Nut has become calmer, more affectionate, and even more loving. Her foster carers describe her as:

“The most playful, energetic, loving little kitten… once she is settled into her forever home she will be the most fun and loving companion for someone.â€
