Meet our gorgeous group of young gerbil girls! 🐭💕 - We are happy to rehome in their group or split in to two pairs
These lovely ladies came into our care after being rescued from a property where several gerbils were being kept together, with males and females housed in the same groups. As there was a possibility that some of the girls could be pregnant, they have remained with us throughout the appropriate gestation period. We’re now very happy to say that they are not pregnant and are ready to start looking for their forever homes!
They settled into their surroundings surprisingly quickly and have a lovely mixture of personalities. Some are more confident, while others are a little shy, but they are all inquisitive little characters who are becoming more comfortable around people every day.
These gorgeous girls love to pop their heads out of the bedding individually to see what you’re up to! They are still building their confidence, but they will happily come over to investigate your hands and will even take pumpkin seeds from you. They are energetic, playful and great fun to watch as they go about their day.
They absolutely love destroying toilet rolls, exploring their surroundings and tucking into millet and hay together. It’s particularly sweet watching them sitting side by side having a little munch! When it’s time for a rest, they all happily curl up together in a little ball.
They can sometimes have a little bicker, so their interactions will need to be monitored to make sure everyone remains happy and settled. They are also fascinating to watch and have even shown an interest in our resident dog!
As they are still young, these girls will need adopters who are willing to give them a little more time, patience and gentle encouragement as their confidence continues to grow. They are already showing us what lovely little characters they are, and with the right home we’re sure they will continue to flourish.
If you’re looking for entertaining, curious and adorable little companions, these gorgeous girls could be just what you’re looking for! 💕🐭
