About Me

Breed: Patterdale Terrier (Fell Terrier) crossbreed
Colour: White
Age: 3-6 Months
Ref: ANI02901

Meet Poppy!

This little lady came to the RSPCA when she was just 10 weeks old. She is now 3-4months old and living life to the full. She sustained a broken leg, pelvis and spine, but you wouldn't know it. She was in the hospital for 2weeks and then went straight to foster. She is also deaf, but is a super intelligent girl who is doing great with hand signals.

Poppy can come across as quiet and shy to start with, and then once she knows you, she will be your best friend. She loves walks where she can meet other dogs and say hi to everyone she meets. She hasn't had any problems with her people or dog socialisation considering her rough start in life. Poppy has had to be crate trained due to her injuries, so she is comfortable being in there during the day for short periods and can sleep in her comfy crate through the night.

Poppy has shown she loves to meet new dogs and would likely co-habit with another dog very easily, once they have been introduced and had some successful meets at the animal centre.
Her toilet training is coming along really well. She doesnt often signal she needs to go out and her foster-er has been trying to teach her to tap bells when she wants to go out, but this is hit and miss. Poppy is learning well and when the garden is freely available she will toilet outside. She is doing well at basic commands, but can become overwhelmed, typical puppy! She loves a walk and then to settle on her human with something to chew… and maybe a cheeky nap!

She loves a day out, shes been to a few shops, local coffee shops or to the pub where she can have a stuffed kong and people watch.

Poppy is looking for a family to call her own, and cannot wait to get settled in! She would ideally love an adult only house that has breed experience of the terrier type and can cater for her needs.
