Let us introduce you to our lovely lad Sparky! If you are wondering why we named him Sparky, well it is due to the markings on his head that look like a plug, also he is bright as a spark so we felt it was very fitting to name him Sparky!

Sparky came to us after sadly he was subjected to physical abuse. He was suffering from neurological symptoms and other wounds which thankfully seem to have resolved. Despite his rough start, Sparky is such a loving little guy who has a real zest for life, and he can't wait to put his past behind him and finally be loved! Whilst we haven’t witnessed any concerns regarding his behaviour, adopters should always ensure all interactions are cat friendly and be led by him.

Sparky is a beautiful young soul, he is such a loving lad. He adores fuss and attention and is like velcro - we open the pod door and he jumps onto our chest, purring loudly in our ears climbing onto our shoulders like a parrot! As a typical kitten he loves to play, however, he can be a bit OTT with his play.

He has been identified as being at a slightly higher risk of developing a condition called feline infectious peritonitis (FIP), caused by the virus feline coronavirus (FCoV) (please note that feline coronavirus is NOT the same as the human coronavirus causing COVID-19 and it CANNOT be transmitted to humans). Many cats carry this virus but most owners wouldn’t know as it’s not something that is routinely tested for. We can provide more information about this virus prior to adoption. He is fit and well at present and is not displaying any symptoms of FIP at present (it’s important to note that they may never develop symptoms but this can’t be ruled out completely). We strongly urge you to research this condition and contact your vets to get rough ideas of costing if treatment is required.

One of the known contributing factors to developing FIP is stress, so we are looking for him to be rehomed to a quiet home without any additional stress factors.

He sadly can't live with other cats, but he may be able to live with a cat friendly dog - and due to his excitable nature he may like to play with a dog.

Anyone adopting this beautiful soul will be very lucky indeed, he so much deserves a fresh start and a future as bright as him!

PLEASE NOTE - Our centre is appointment only. We ideally like cattery/small animals to go home within one week of application (however, this may be evaluated on a case by case basis) - so please only apply if you are in a position to adopt within a reasonable time frame. Due to a high volume of applications and emails we are unable to discuss the animals any further until we have received your completed application form. We receive a large number of applications for each animal, if you have not heard within 7 days of submitting your application form you have been unsuccessful on this occasion, please keep a check on the website as this is updated daily.
