About Me

Breed: Domestic Shorthair crossbreed
Colour: Black
Age: 5 Years (approx)
Ref: ANI03634

This handsome rugged boy is Terry!

Terry was a garden cat who was found with a fracture to his right hind leg. Unfortunately his leg was fractured in two places so the only option was to amputate his leg.

Terry has adjusted to life well on three legs, he is quite a big lad so new adopters will need to ensure he doesn't gain weight as this will put extra pressure on his 3 remaining legs.

Terry was a bit bewildered and was understandably in pain when he first arrived, he learnt to trust us and understand that we weren't here to cause him any harm. He moved down to the animal centre for more space and his personality has continued to flourish. Terry loves his cat fort and will lie on top of it and roll around whilst having a fuss. He is a really chatty boy and will happily tell you about his day. He always come to see you and give you lots of head bumps but we do think he may have a low tolerance so we like to watch his interactions carefully to ensure he isn't getting overwhelmed. He is also a foody boy and enjoys his dinners and treats.

We think Terry will be happiest living in an adult only home, with adopters who understand he needs time to settle in and where he has outside space to explore. He was an outdoors cat previously so we think he will enjoy having a potter in the garden once he has settled in. We are hopeful his personality will continue to blossom in a home.
