😺 Cannot live with cats
🐶 Could live with a very tolerant male dog
👶 Could live with children aged 12+
Meet the lovely Mila! This gorgeous girl arrived in our care after being removed from her previous home where she had been living outside with another dog. She was very underweight at the time and had some wounds but after a little bit of TLC she is now eager to search for her new forever home.
Despite her background Mila is the sweetest girl who quickly makes friends with people and will happily say hello to everybody that she meets. She is still a young, excitable girl who can be quite bouncy and so she is looking for adopters who are eager to get stuck into her ongoing training to help her turn into the perfect canine citizen. She absolutely loves her food and is always eager to learn so she will be a fantastic dog to work with.
It is likely that Mila hasn't had much socialisation as she has shown signs of nerves and can sometimes find new items a little scary but she has already made great progress in her confidence here at the center. She will need understanding adopters who are willing to take things at her own pace when it comes to slow introductions to common household items such as the television or the doorbell. As it is likely she has never lived inside she will also benefit from adopters who can be around for a good portion of the day initially to build up her toilet training and her time left alone.
Mila has mixed with dogs here at the center and when seeing them in the distance can get very excited and bouncy. When she is able to say hello she can be a little over the top but with a little bit of management she is able to walk nicely with them. We feel like she may be able to live with a very calm, tolerant male dog who will be able to put up with her initial energy as long as adopters are confident in continuing this management in the home.
She cannot live with cats and due to the nerves that she has shown would suit a home where any children are aged 12+ and can understand how to interact with her appropriately.
