Meet our sweet gentle girl, Poppy. She came to BBF through no fault of her own, after her owner could no longer cope.

Poppy is a sweet and gentle girl who can be quite nervous, especially when meeting new people or finding herself in unfamiliar situations. She may need a little extra time and patience to feel comfortable, but once she knows she is safe, her confidence slowly begins to shine through.

Behind her nervous nature is a wonderfully affectionate girl who absolutely loves being close to the people she trusts. Poppy enjoys gentle fuss, cuddles and plenty of love, and she has such a soft loving personality to share. Once she bonds with you, she'll happily show you just how special she is. She is such a little sweetheart who simply needs someone patient enough to let her come out of her shell and discover how wonderful life can be. 💕🐾

Poppy has done a few mixes here at the centre, and has gotten along with calm dogs. She can be quite unsure at times especially during interactions, but is happy to walk alongside a dog as long as they are independently walking. Due to this, she would benefit from being the only pet in the household but can have walking dog friends. No cats.
