This gorgeous boy is Rudolph! He was found abandoned and tied to a post but after being brought into the safe and warm he is now ready to search for his new forever home. With the right family this boy will be a fantastic and fun companion.

Rudolph is a sweet boy who hasn't had the best start to life but he is trying his best to not let it stop him. He enjoys the company of people but can sometimes be a little nervous when it comes to handling and fuss. He would benefit from understanding adopters with experience of nervous dogs who will be able to support him in the home and help to slowly build his confidence at his own pace. We have already seen glimpses of his loving personality and we have no doubt that this will only continue to blossom away from the stresses of kennel life.

He unfortunately hasn't had much basic training in his life and can be very excitable (but not hugely strong!) on lead sometimes. He would love adopters who are eager to build on his training to help him become the model canine citizen. He has likely also not had much experience, if any, of being in a home and so will need understanding adopters who can help support him and build up his confidence. He will need a secure private garden where he can play off lead in order to continue his house training and would benefit from adopters who have the ability to build up his time left alone (although he does settle and likes a snooze in our reception crate!).

Rudolph has mixed with dogs here at the centre and has shown that he loves their company. He is always eager to say hello and shows nothing but playful behaviours towards them. He can be very excitable and bouncy when he plays with his doggy friends and so could potentially live with another dog that is tolerant of this kind of behaviour as long as adopters are confident in being able to manage him in the home. If not living with another dog he would love to have some dog walking friends.

Due to his nerves he would suit a home where any children are aged 14+ and can take interactions at his own pace. He cannot live with cats.
