Say hello to our wonderful boy, Stumpy. He came to blackberry farm through no fault of his own after his owner was no longer able to cope with him, but he is now ready for his forever home.

Stumpy has found kennel life quite stressful but is settling at his own pace. He loves spending time with people but can easily be overstimulated and can be nervous around new people. He enjoys a brief fuss but he would benefit from adopters that would be able to recognise his body language, manage his arousal levels appropriately and are happy to take their time and patience with him.

Stumpy is a clever boy, so he would benefit from ongoing training and learning basic commands to help build up his confidence and strengthen his bond with his adopters.

Stumpy is an independent boy who prefers to do his own thing rather than interact with other dogs, because of this he is looking for a home where he is the only dog. However, he enjoys walking alongside other dogs so he would be able to have dog walking friends, as long as they are calm and independent also.

He cannot live with cats and would prefer an adult only home due to his sensitivity around handling and tendency to become overstimulated.
