About Me

Breed: Japanese Akita
Colour: Beige
Age: 2 Years (approx)
Ref: ANI02702

Luna is a stunning Akita cross who is looking for more than just a home—she’s looking for a "person." While she may start off being a little aloof, once you’ve earned her trust, you’ll have a loyal companion who will follow you to the ends of the earth (or at least to the end of a very long, sniff-filled trail).

Akitas have very thick coats and as such need regular grooming. Thankfully one of Luna’s most endearing traits is her enjoyment of being brushed which makes maintaining her coat a breeze as long as you can regularly tend to it.

Luna can be a bit shy around new faces (especially men). She is just making sure you’re "her" person! A few meets and some patience will be rewarded with a lifetime of Akita devotion.

Luna arrived knowing just “sit”, but she’s spent her stay with us learning lots of new tricks. Luna loves to use her brain just as much as her legs. She would really benefit from an adopter who would work with her and continue her training.

Nothing gets Luna quite as excited as the prospect of a new adventure. Luna is at her happiest when she’s exploring new scents and chasing her favorite ball. She thrives on a combination of physical exercise and mental engagement which makes her a perfect companion for long walks and exploring new places.

She’s looking for a quiet, adult-only sanctuary where she can be the only four-legged queen of the castle. Previous experience with Akitas is desirable, as she displays typical traits of the breed.

The adoption fee for Luna is £200.
