About Me

Breed: Belgian Shepherd (Malinois)
Colour: Black
Age: 3 Years (approx)
Ref: ANI04950

Roxy is a beautiful young Belgian Malinois who has shown us just how different life can be once she's out of the kennel environment. While kennels left her feeling overwhelmed and uncertain, foster life has allowed her true personality to begin shining through. Watching her relax and settle into a home has been incredibly rewarding, and every day her confidence continues to grow.

Since moving into foster, Roxy has embraced life with enthusiasm. She has enjoyed coastal adventures, running freely through open fields, and exploring the world around her. She is an active, intelligent young dog who loves getting out and about, and she is looking for a family who will enjoy sharing those adventures with her while also providing the mental stimulation that a Belgian Malinois thrives on.

Roxy is currently living with other dogs and has settled in well, but as she has become more comfortable, we feel she may be better suited to life as the only pet. She enjoys human companionship and would love to have a family she can truly bond with and call her own.

Like many sensitive rescue dogs, Roxy is still learning that the world is a safe place. She has shown some wariness towards people or cars passing the home, so she will need patient adopters who understand that confidence isn't built overnight. She has already come such a long way in foster, and with calm guidance, consistency and kindness, we know she has the potential to continue flourishing.
Roxy would be best suited to an adult-only home, although we would consider older, sensible teenagers who understand how to give a dog space when she needs it. A calm home with a secure garden would be ideal, giving her somewhere to relax and enjoy time outdoors at her own pace.

What Roxy is looking for more than anything is someone who will see beyond the worried face she showed in kennels and recognise the affectionate, loyal companion she is becoming. She doesn't need everything to be perfect—she simply needs people who are willing to invest a little patience and understanding while she settles into her new life.

Roxy's adoption fee is £200.
