Roxy is a beautiful young soul who is desperately hoping her forever family will find her soon. Since arriving in our care, it’s become clear that kennel life is simply not where this sensitive girl belongs. Behind her gentle eyes is a dog who is feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, and longing for the comfort of a quiet home and someone she can finally trust.

Despite finding the kennel environment difficult, Roxy remains incredibly sweet-natured. She wants so badly to feel safe again, she just needs patience, understanding people willing to give her the time and compassion she deserves. With each passing day, we see glimpses of the loving companion she is waiting to become once she’s out of the stress of kennel life and into a home of her own.

Roxy would thrive with adopters who understand that rescue dogs sometimes need a little extra time to settle and bloom. She is looking for a calm, steady household where life moves gently and predictably, helping her build confidence at her own pace. While she can be sensitive, there is a wonderful dog underneath who simply needs someone to believe in her.

A quiet home with a secure garden would mean the world to Roxy — somewhere she can finally exhale, enjoy the sunshine, and feel safe. She will need owners who can provide both physical exercise and mental enrichment, but also understand when she simply needs reassurance and patience.

Roxy has always shown herself to be social around other dogs, and pending introductions here at the centre, she may benefit from having a calm canine companion in the home to help guide her and give her confidence.

Due to her sensitive nature, we feel Roxy would be happiest in an adult-only home, though we may consider homes with older, dog-savvy teenagers who understand the needs of more sensitive dogs.

What Roxy needs most is someone willing to look beyond the worried face she shows in kennels and see the loving, loyal companion she is capable of becoming. She doesn’t need perfection, she just needs kindness, patience, and a chance.

After everything she’s been through, Roxy deserves more than a kennel. She deserves a sofa, gentle words, peaceful walks, and a family who will never give up on her again.
