Say hello to Ember! This beautiful five month old tortie domestic shorthair is looking for a very special forever home.

Ember arrived in our care from a multi-cat household, feeling very scared and completely shut down. It has been a challenging journey for her to learn that humans can be kind, but she has been incredibly brave. She has made wonderful progress during her time with us and is slowly but surely starting to accept gentle attention from the people she has learned to trust.

Because she is so sensitive, Ember needs a calm, quiet, and predictable environment where she can take things at her own pace. To give her the best chance to decompress, feel safe, and build her confidence, we are looking for an adult-only home (no children) where she will be the only pet in the household.

Ember will need to remain strictly indoors initially while she settles into her new surroundings and bonds with her new family. However, her adopters must understand that if she eventually shows a strong desire to explore the outside world, safe outdoor access must be provided, as we feel this is essential for her ongoing welfare and happiness.

If you have a peaceful home, endless patience, and a big heart willing to help a shy girl blossom, earning Ember's trust will be an incredibly rewarding experience. She is ready and waiting to find her safe haven!
