Milo is a 5 year old male Domestic Shorthair with a black coat. He came into our care from a multi-cat household, a transition that initially left him feeling very overwhelmed and timid.
When Milo first arrived, he was extremely nervous and cautious, often choosing to hide away. However, in the relatively short time he has been with us, his true, loving nature has begun to shine through. He has proven himself to be an incredibly affectionate and charming cat who absolutely thrives on gentle human attention and fuss. He will readily offer endearing 'head bumps' as a sign of his affection and is known to curl up contentedly on a lap.
His initial timidity suggests that he would be best suited to a quieter environment. We feel he would be most comfortable living with children of secondary school age or older, specifically those who have previous experience living with and understanding cats. This is to ensure that he is given the space and patience he needs to fully relax and settle into his new surroundings without being startled by sudden movements or loud noises.
We believe Milo would benefit from an initial period where he remains solely indoors to allow him the necessary time to build confidence and feel secure in his new home. Given his background, we have limited knowledge of his past outdoor experiences.
Once he has fully settled, if he begins to show a strong desire or curiosity to explore the outside world—such as persistently waiting by the door or showing interest in windows—his adopters must understand that it would be in his best interest to allow him safe outdoor access.
Milo's history in a multi-cat household suggests that he could potentially live with another cat. However, any introduction would need to be handled carefully, slowly, and correctly to ensure a smooth transition and a positive relationship between the two felines.
Conversely, we feel that a dog would be too overwhelming and stressful for Milo, given his initially shy nature. Therefore, we are looking for a dog-free home for him.
Milo is a loving boy who simply needs a patient, understanding home to help him leave his timid past behind and fully embrace the happy, confident life he deserves.
