Meet Pip, a handsome one-year-old male black domestic shorthair who is eagerly searching for his forever home. Pip arrived in our care from a busy multi-cat household, where he unfortunately received limited individual attention and socialisation.

Because of his background, Pip is a timid soul who is still learning that humans can be trusted. We are looking for an understanding and patient home willing to give him the time, space, and quiet encouragement he needs to blossom at his own pace. Since arriving at the rescue centre, Pip has made wonderful progress; his confidence grows every day, and he has recently started happily accepting delicious treats directly from the hands of his trusted carers.

Given his sensitive temperament and initial shyness around new people, we feel Pip would be best suited to a quiet household with experienced adopters or families with children aged 14 and older who understand feline behaviour and can respect his boundaries.

When Pip transitions to his new environment, he will need to remain strictly indoors for an initial settling-in period while he establishes a bond with his adopters and feels completely secure in his surroundings. While we are unsure of how much prior outdoor experience he has had, his new family should be mindful of his natural instincts; once fully settled, if Pip demonstrates a strong desire to venture outside, his adopters must be prepared to provide him with safe, supervised outdoor access in a low-traffic area for his overall well-being and enrichment.

To ensure Pip feels safe and receives all the attention he needs to flourish, we are seeking a loving home where he can be the sole pet, allowing him to be the center of his new family's world.
