About Me

Breed: Domestic Shorthair crossbreed
Colour: Grey
Age: 3 Years (approx)
Ref: ANI03733

This beautiful girl is Sheba, a three-year-old grey domestic shorthair. She recently arrived in our care as part of a multi-cat household transfer, a situation that initially left her feeling overwhelmed and exposed.

When Sheba first joined us, she was understandably very shut down and scared, retreating into herself as a coping mechanism. However, with consistent care, patience, and a safe environment, it didn't take long for her true personality to blossom and shine through. She has revealed herself to be an incredibly sweet, gentle, and profoundly affectionate girl. One of her favourite pastimes is what we affectionately call "making biscuits"—kneading her blankets with gusto, a clear sign of her contentment and comfort.

Due to her inherently timid and sensitive nature, Sheba would thrive in a calm and understanding home environment. We believe she would be best suited to a family with older children, specifically those aged 11 and above, who have previous experience living with and respecting the needs of a cat. A quieter household that can offer predictability and gentle interaction would be ideal for her continued emotional development.

Sheba would need to remain strictly indoors initially. This is a crucial period for her to fully settle, decompress, and feel secure in her new surroundings. Her adopter must understand that while we initially recommend an indoor-only lifestyle, if she begins to show a strong, undeniable desire for outdoor exploration and access once fully settled, this need must be accommodated. Allowing her safe outdoor access under those circumstances would be necessary for her long-term welfare and happiness.

We believe that with a careful, slow, and structured introduction process, Sheba could potentially live successfully with another cat. Her gentle disposition suggests she may appreciate the company of a calm feline friend. However, we strongly feel that sharing her home with a dog would be too overwhelming and stressful for her sensitive temperament, and for this reason, we are seeking a dog-free home.
