St. George is a 6-year-old boy who is looking for his forever home. Named after a brave knight, St. George has had to be brave himself; he came into our care after a very difficult past, which understandably left him feeling timid and unsure of the world.
When he first arrived, human interactions were a bit overwhelming for him. However, with time, patience, and a lot of love, this gorgeous boy is showing us just how resilient he is. In his short time with us, he has already begun to let his guard down and has started showing sweet affection to the familiar faces he trusts.
St. George is looking for a patient, understanding forever home where he can continue to blossom at his own pace. If you have a quiet heart and a peaceful home to offer, St. George will reward your patience with a lifetime of loyalty and love.
St George has lived with cats prior to coming into us, and could potentially live with another feline friend with correct and slow introductions. We feel that a dog may be too much for him given his nervous nature. Due to the initial timid nature displayed upon arrival, we believe St George would thrive in a calm and understanding home. His ideal family would include older children (aged 11+) who have had previous positive experiences living with cats. This ensures they understand how to respect a cat's need for space and quiet time while she fully settles in.
St George will require a period of adjustment in his new environment. He must remain indoors initially to ensure he feels secure and fully acclimated to his surroundings and new routine. Given his youthful energy, we are seeking a home situated in a safe, relatively quiet area where he will be allowed to explore the outdoors once he is completely settled and confident.
