Kevin is a sensitive cat whose world was abruptly turned upside down following the tragic passing of his beloved owner. He arrived in our care through no fault of his own, having lost the only constant he ever knew. This sudden loss has left Kevin feeling vulnerable, displaced, and understandably cautious. He is not a cat who thrives on change; rather, he needs a new home where he can rediscover the true meaning of safety, consistency, and unconditional love.
Upon first meeting or when introduced to new environments, Kevin will be reserved but this is not unfriendliness. With sufficient space, time, and patience, his cautious exterior will slowly fade. Building his trust requires repeated, positive interactions. Once Kevin has accepted a person is a friend, the resulting bond is incredibly strong. He is quick to form affectionate relationships with those he trusts. He will seek out quiet companionship, enjoy gentle attention, and become a deeply devoted member of the family.
Kevin will need an experienced owner who can understand his need for patience and recognise when he is uncomfortable. An adult only home would be best but he may be able to live with children of 14 plus who have been around cats before and will understand his needs. No other pets please as he is likely to find them challenging.
