Sushi is a delicate little lady who has had a bit of a tough time of it. She was living as a stray when she gave birth to a litter of kittens. Her kids have now flown the nest and she is ready to start her new life. Due to her experiences Sushi is wary of people. She is endlessly inquisitive and desperately wants to trust but she isn't quite there yet. We are confident in the right home she will start to understand that people are as caring as she hopes they are and she will really blossom as she deserves.
Sushi's wariness manifests in uncertainty about physical touch. Whilst she will happily be in the same space as you, especially if treats are involved, she is not yet ready to be touched. This is something that may come in time but her new family must allow her to take it at her own pace and be happy to put in the work to build her trust. A confident male cat in the home may help to show her the ropes and help her to understand that life can be great!
Although Sushi is not the easiest cat in terms of her confidence levels, watching her flourish will be incredibly rewarding and when she finally gives that little head bump, her new owners will know it was all worth it in the end!
