Meet Rhona
This gorgeous soul is Rhona. She has spent almost a year in kennels as part of an ongoing investigation, and despite everything she's been through, she remains a sweet, gentle, and sensitive girl.
Rhona enjoys quiet potters and loves spending time with her handlers, soaking up attention in her calm, understated way. She doesn't really understand toys and can find them a little worrying, but she does love to run around after you in a secure open space; a lovely way to keep her moving as she has a couple of pounds to lose.
She walks beautifully on the lead and is a pleasure to take out. However, due to her history, potential adopters should be aware that she may become strong and pull if prey animals are nearby, so confident handling will be important.
Rhona can walk calmly alongside other dogs but very much values her personal space. Because of this, we feel she would be happiest as the only dog in the home, where she doesn't have to share attention or feel overwhelmed.
In her kennel, Rhona can often be found curled up snugly on her blankets, and we can't wait to see her finally settled into a warm, comfortable home of her own; one where she can feel safe, relaxed, and truly loved.
