About Me

Breed: Domestic Shorthair crossbreed
Colour: Black
Age: 1 Year (approx)
Ref: CU2026005

Nitro was brought into our care as his owner was moving but also mentioned he was toileting inappropriately in the house (urinating).

Toileting indoors usually starts when a cat is either attacked or frightened by either a cat, another animal or human whilst they are toileting, or under another stress causing factor. This makes them feel very unsafe as cats feel vulnerable when toileting. Nitro was an un-neutered male that had not been to a vet, was being kept as an indoor cat and was living with a small child. He was very likely finding all of that very stressful.

Nitro was initially a little shy on arrival, but has settled in very well and has been 100% clean with urinating, always using his litter tray. He has had the odd poo on the floor right next to the tray so does require a large spacious tray so he has plenty of room!

He has a lovely personality and will make someone a brilliant companion.

We are hopeful that in a quiet home where he doesn’t need to worry about other pets or children bothering him that he will settle to be a very happy and clean cat.

We cannot guarantee immediate or complete success though we do anticipate he will be clean as he has been great in the cattery. Also, once going outside he may even choose to toilet outside.
