Meet Maple. A Gentle Soul Looking for Her Forever Home

Maple is a beautiful 4-year-old Collie seeking a patient, understanding home where she can continue building confidence at her own pace.

Since arriving in our care, Maple has spent much of her time in foster, making excellent progress. She is comfortable in the home, enjoys spending time in the garden, and can travel by car and go for walks, although she currently needs help getting into vehicles. When worried or startled, she may stop and wait until she feels safe enough to continue.

Maple is a sensitive girl who takes time to trust, but once she does, she is incredibly affectionate and rewarding. Her foster carers describe her as a lovely companion and a pleasure to have around. Recently, she has started exploring more confidently in a secure field, a wonderful milestone for this sweet girl.

As Maple is sensitive to sudden loud noises, she needs adopters who understand that confidence-building takes time. She will thrive with reassurance, consistency, and patience.

Maple also has mild arthritis in her hips and back legs. This will need monitoring, and she may require long-term pain management in the future.

We feel Maple would do best with adopters familiar with Collies or sensitive dogs. She would ideally be the only dog in the home, although she can be introduced to other dogs. A cat-free home is preferred, and she could live with calm, sensible children aged 16+.

Maple isn't looking for a busy lifestyle - she's looking for someone who will support her, celebrate her progress, and give her the security she needs to flourish. In return, you'll gain a loyal and loving companion whose trust is truly special.
