About Me

Breed: Domestic Shorthair crossbreed
Colour: Grey - White
Age: 3 Years (approx)
Ref: 272008

Francine is a beautiful, resilient girl who has shown incredible strength despite a very tough start to life. As far as we know, Francine has always lived outdoors as a stray. She bravely raised a litter of kittens on her own, but sadly, not long after, she suffered a serious injury that required emergency veterinary treatment.

Being caught and taken to the vet was understandably a frightening experience for her, and she remains very wary and defensive around people. We don't know how much human contact she had before coming into our care, and it's possible her injury may have been caused by a person, which could explain some of her fear.

Because of her background, Francine will need a very special, understanding home that can offer her the space, time, and patience she needs to feel safe. She may always prefer her own company and could choose to live mainly outdoors, so we are looking for an experienced owner who can provide a secure environment where she can make that choice.

Francine would benefit from a calm home with an existing cat-friendly male cat, as we believe this could help her gain confidence and provide companionship. Even if Francine decides that she prefers an outdoor lifestyle, her new owner must be committed to caring for her long-term - providing food, a safe shelter, and ensuring she receives any necessary veterinary care.

Her ideal new home would have a cat flap so she can come and go as she pleases, no dogs and be adult only with no children.

Francine may never be a cuddly lap cat, but she deserves a safe, caring home where she can finally relax and live life on her own terms. With the right environment and a compassionate owner, we believe Francine's confidence can continue to grow.

Could you be the person to give this brave girl the peaceful, understanding home she's been waiting for?
