Poppet arrived at the centre after experiencing some behavioural difficulties in his previous home.
Although he was previously an affectionate cat, his behaviour towards his owner changed and he became more temperamental.
Initially very reserved and unsure, Poppet has gradually become more confident with patience, time and being neutered, and we are beginning to see more of his personality shine through.
Poppet can sometimes be intense and has been known to nip, so he will need experienced owners who understand cats and are willing to give him the time and space he needs to settle and build trust.
We feel Poppet may thrive in a larger, more spacious environment and would consider both a typical home and an alternative rural setting, such as a smallholding, farm or stables with plenty of outdoor access. As Poppet enjoys human interaction, he would need people around for a good part of the day.
With the right understanding, patience and environment, we hope Poppet can relax and allow his affectionate side to grow more.
Could you be the patient and experienced owner Poppet needs to help him thrive?
