Julie is a 5-month-old Chongqing puppy who is looking for her forever home with someone experienced with Mastiff-type dogs.
Julie is lucky enough to currently be in an amazing foster home, where she is learning important life skills and settling beautifully into home life. She is a resilient, fabulous young dog who takes everything in her stride and approaches life with curiosity and confidence.
She is currently living with cats, who she has befriended, as well as another dog, and she enjoys being involved in everyday activities with her foster family.
Her fosterer is currently working on her basic training, but as she is still a puppy, her adopters will need to have the time and commitment to continue her training and socialisation using reward-based methods.
Although she is not yet very experienced in the car, Julie travels well. However, she is not yet ready to be left for prolonged periods, so she will need a home where someone is around most, if not all, of the time while she continues to build confidence and routine.
Julie could live with cats that are comfortable around dogs, as well as another confident and friendly dog. She is looking for a home with children of secondary school age and above.
Julie has a condition called cherry eye and will need to return to the centre when she is a little older to have an operation to correct this. For this reason we are looking to place Julie in foster with a view to adopt once she has had the surgery. Potential adopters will need to sign up as fosterers and ideally live within an hour of the Centre.
Julie is a smashing girl who loves greeting everyone she meets and likes to be involved in everything going on around her. She is affectionate, curious, and full of personality.
If you are looking for a fun, loving puppy and are ready to continue helping her grow into a well-rounded adult dog, Julie could be the perfect addition to your family.

If you are interested in adopting an animal from West Hatch RSPCA, please have a look on "ÅÝܽÊÓƵ" in the first instance. Once you have seen an animal you are interested in, you can apply easily online via the link to a google form at the bottom of their profile. Once we receive the application, it will be reviewed by a member of staff, and if you are a suitable match we will then make contact to discuss the animal further. This will be either by email initially or by phone. We will then ask you to email us photos of your home and garden, as well as ID. This continues to replace the homevisit that we would have carried out pre-covid. We can then make an appointment for you to come to the centre to meet your chosen animal before you commit to adoption.
