Lottie is a 4 year old female collie x old english bulldog. She was originally taken into our care when her previous owners were unable to provide her with the care and attention that she needed.
Lottie has the energy and spirit of a border collie and the strength of a bulldog. She is particularly passionate about ball and toy play, but we are encouraging her to explore her environment and interact with her handlers; showing her that there is more to life than repetitive games. During her stay she has become much more affectionate, actively seeking attention.
Lottie is strong on lead, but we have been teaching her to walk nicely through loose lead training and encouraging her to focus on her handler. She has improved greatly and loves to take part in this training - she particularly thrives when her brain is kept busy.
Lottie can be initially anxious in new situations such as meeting a strange dog or visiting an unfamiliar place, but once she has been introduced to it with the support of a trusted handler, she gains a great deal of confidence and is keen to explore.
Lottie needs an experienced owner ready to embrace a stong, active and intelligent dog. She has a vibrant personality, wanting to take an interest in everything you are doing, and will no doubt be a loyal companion once she has settled in and bonded with you. She could live with older teenaged children, but would need to be the only pet in the home.

If you are interested in adopting an animal from West Hatch RSPCA, please have a look on "ÅÝܽÊÓƵ" in the first instance. Once you have seen an animal you are interested in, you can apply easily online via the link to a google form at the bottom of their profile. Once we receive the application, it will be reviewed by a member of staff, and if you are a suitable match we will then make contact to discuss the animal further. This will be either by email initially or by phone. We will then ask you to email us photos of your home and garden, as well as ID. This continues to replace the homevisit that we would have carried out pre-covid. We can then make an appointment for you to come to the centre to meet your chosen animal before you commit to adoption.
