Mickey is an active, curious young cat looking for an alternative home.
Coming from a property with over 30 unattended cats, Mickey unfortunately missed out on essential early experiences. He is inquisitive and often prefers watching the world from a distance, thriving in his own company. Over the last few months, we have worked closely with Mickey to build his confidence. While he will take treats from us, he is most comfortable at a distance from people and requires more independence than a traditional house pet. He will thrive in an environment where he has human support but faces no pressure to interact.
Mickey is looking for a farm or rural setting with minimal road risk. He needs to be set up initially in his own secure outbuilding, such as a barn or annexe, separate from the main home. Because he will live independently, we can consider homes with existing house pets, provided Mickey is the only animal in his dedicated outside space to start. However, he has shown positive interest in other cats, so a feline companion could potentially join him in the future.

If you are interested in adopting an animal from West Hatch RSPCA, please have a look on "ÅÝܽÊÓƵ" in the first instance. Once you have seen an animal you are interested in, you can apply easily online via the link to a google form at the bottom of their profile. Once we receive the application, it will be reviewed by a member of staff, and if you are a suitable match we will then make contact to discuss the animal further. This will be either by email initially or by phone. We will then ask you to email us photos of your home and garden, as well as ID. This continues to replace the homevisit that we would have carried out pre-covid. We can then make an appointment for you to come to the centre to meet your chosen animal before you commit to adoption.
