Pippin is a wonderful Collie x Staffie who truly embodies the best qualities of both breeds. She is intelligent, affectionate, playful, sensitive, energetic, eager to learn, and loves nothing more than being close to her people. She also has a particular passion for car journeys, so much so that she'll happily try to climb into almost any vehicle she spots!

Pippin has no vision in one eye, which means she can be startled by things approaching from her blind side. With understanding and thoughtful handling, this is easily managed and does not stop her from enjoying life to the fullest.

Currently staying in a short-term foster home, Pippin has exceeded all expectations. She has been impeccably clean in the house, sleeps soundly through the night, settles beautifully while her foster carers work from home, and has embraced the comfort and security of family life. Away from the stresses of kennels, she has shown just how loving, people-focused, and affectionate she really is.

Pippin is looking for a home that will embrace not only her wonderful qualities, but also the commitment she needs to reach her full potential. She thrives on learning and responds exceptionally well to positive, reward-based training. Training should not be viewed as an optional extra for Pippin. It will be a vital part of her ongoing development, helping her build confidence, strengthen her bond with her adopter, and navigate the world successfully. She would love an owner who genuinely enjoys training, is willing to invest time and consistency into her progress, and will see it as a rewarding journey they can share together.

As an active and intelligent dog, Pippin will be happiest with an experienced owner who understands the needs of bright, energetic breeds and is committed to providing both mental and physical enrichment. She has already shown how responsive and eager to please she can be when given clear guidance and positive reinforcement.

Around other dogs, Pippin is currently manageable and can be easily redirected with a high-value reward. She is capable of walking alongside some dogs, but can become reactive if another dog enters her space unexpectedly. For this reason, we feel she would be best suited as the only pet in the home. We will be happy to provide guidance on continuing her training and socialisation in a home environment so that her progress can continue.

Pippin could live with sensible teenage children and will require a secure garden where she can safely enjoy her outdoor time.
