Meet Ria, a beautiful 13-year-old crossbreed who is patiently waiting to find her forever home.
Ria is a fun-loving, jolly girl who adores exploring at her own pace, taking in the world through her nose. After she’s had her fill of sniffing and pottering about, she happily transforms into a little snuggle bug and will eagerly curl up on the sofa for a cosy cuddle.
Despite her age, Ria still has a spring in her step and a real enthusiasm for life. She is looking for a home where she can be the only pet and ideally live with adults only, although older teenagers may be considered. Ria finds kennel life challenging and has spent some time in a foster home where she felt much more secure. During her time in foster it became clear that Ria can't cope with being left on her own, and therefore will need an adopter who is home all of the time to start with. She will need training to support her separation anxiety and gradually build up the time she can be left alone, all at her own pace with a patient approach. Ria has not interacted with other dogs during her time with us and would therefore need to be the only dog in a new home.
Ria travels well in the car, content to watch the world go by through the window, she also walks lovely on the lead, happily plodding next to you.

If you are interested in adopting an animal from West Hatch RSPCA, please have a look on "ÅÝܽÊÓƵ" in the first instance. Once you have seen an animal you are interested in, you can apply easily online via the link to a google form at the bottom of their profile. Once we receive the application, it will be reviewed by a member of staff, and if you are a suitable match we will then make contact to discuss the animal further. This will be either by email initially or by phone. We will then ask you to email us photos of your home and garden, as well as ID. This continues to replace the homevisit that we would have carried out pre-covid. We can then make an appointment for you to come to the centre to meet your chosen animal before you commit to adoption.
